Dear Friends,
Revelation 1:12-13 “Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man.”
No, you’re not supposed to imagine that the Son of Man appeared to John as some sort of a disfigured, monstrous creature like the one I drew above. But, you are supposed to wonder: what’s with all these things? –
1) The lampstands
2) The robe & sash
3) The white hair
4) The flaming eyes
5) The brazen feet
6) The voice as a rush of many waters
7) The seven stars
8) The two-edged sword
9) The face shining like the sun
This is what we’re sorting out in Bible Class on Sunday morning. Come along as we finish up our trek through John’s letters to the churches. Here are the questions on the table for next week:
Which of the 7 churches in Revelation 2-3 is most reflective of the Christian church in our time? Our church body? Our congregation? Do we have anything to learn from it?
The features of the Son of Man in Rev. 1:12-16 are connected to the churches in Rev. 2-3. Which go with which?
And then, what do they all mean?

We’ll finish working through that this Sunday! Come along for Bible Study!
Also! Get ready — on Sunday, January 21st we’ll begin our annual Baby Bottle campaign to help out the Pregnancy Resource Center in St. Cloud. Check out their web-site here: preghelpfriends.com and grab your baby bottle a week from Sunday to donate to their valuable work!
God bless and keep you,
