Dear Friends,
In case you missed it, here’s a recap from Bible Study on Sunday!
We’re working on seeing the big picture of the Old Testament, and we started with Genesis 1. You can think about what God’s doing in creation as kind of like building a house. It has different stories: the heavens, the earth, and under the earth, just like your house has rafters, a living area, and a foundation.
The assignment for this week is to read Genesis 1-10 and ask yourself: where else do I see the design of a house in these stories?
Also, work on knowing the names of the first five books of the Old Testament — the Books of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Just knowing the names of the books and how they fit in order will be a great help in seeing the big picture!
Then, Family Night is back this Wednesday (September 11). Pizza starting at 5:30, with a lesson for the kiddos beginning at 6. Come along and enjoy some good food, good company, and listen in to some instruction in God’s Word!
