Dear Friends,
First of all, join us tomorrow evening for our Thanksgiving Eve service at 7pm! There’s also Bible Study right beforehand at 6pm.
Second, as we enter into the season of Advent and a new Church Year, let’s work together on reviewing the basics! Here’s an announcement you’ll see in the bulletin this Sunday:
Learn By Heart
“I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.” – Psalm 119:16
It’s the beginning of a new year in the church, and that’s always a good time for resolutions. Let’s resolve together to know the catechism by heart!
Just as it’s good for the kids while they’re learning the faith, it’s of great benefit to adults their whole lives long! So, let’s work together on committing it to memory.
Each week, the bulletin will contain the learn-by-heart assignment for the following week. You can work on the Text or the Text & Meaning, take your pick! The following Sunday, we’ll recite the Text & Meaning together at the beginning of the sermon.
For the First Sunday in Advent:
The First Commandment
